Why am I being charged twice in one month?

There are a few reasons why you might noticed a double payment in one month.

If you are a new customer, we take your first payment within 10 days of your policy start date, and then your subsequent payments on your preferred direct debit date.

This means you could potentially make two payments in the first month depending on your chosen payment date and the policy start date.

Don’t worry, this doesn’t mean you’re being charged extra! We take a total of 12 payments per policy year, it just means you made two of those payments close together.

If you’re not a new customer, it’s possible we’re charging two payments in one month because your previous month’s payment has failed and been rescheduled to the next month. If this is the case, you’ll likely have received some texts and emails from us notifying you that your payments have been failing.

Please do let us know if you’re experiencing any financial difficulties or need support with payments, one of our Champions is happy to help you.

It is also a possibility that you have accidentally created more than one policy for your pet. Sometimes customers take out a new policy with us instead of renewing, but forget to opt-out of renewal. If this is the case, let our team know and we can help share the benefits of each policy type so you can decide which one to continue with for your pet going forward.

However, if none of the above apply to you, it’s best you contact us so we can have a look at your account and ensure everything is in order for you.
