How do I change my cover at renewal?
How do I change my cover at renewal?
Updated over a week ago

If you’re looking to upgrade or downgrade your cover at renewal, you can explore your options through your dashboard at napo.pet.

30 days before your policy is due to renew you’ll get a renewal quote email and you can then explore your options up until the day before your renewal date.

To change your cover level at renewal, simply follow the steps below:

  1. Go to your Napo dashboard.

  2. Click ‘see renewal info’ on the pink banner at the top of the page.

  3. If you have more than one pet, select which pet you want to view the renewal info for.

  4. Click on your desired cover level, and if you’re happy with the quote, press the ‘select’ button.

Your policy will then renew at this cover level. 🎉

Upgrading

  • If you are increasing your cover level, please note that any conditions, signs or symptoms or treatment started before your upgrade will not benefit from the increase in cover. This means that any conditions that showed signs or symptoms before your upgrade, can only be covered up to the previous maximum cover limit. Also, accidents will remain under the previous cover limit for 24 hours, and illnesses will remain under the previous cover limit for 10 days following your renewal.

  • Please refer to this article ‘Can I upgrade my cover?’ for any further questions.

Downgrading

  • This won’t affect your lifetime cover, and you can always switch back to a higher level at your next renewal if you need to, following the guidelines outlined on page 28 of your policy. To explore downgrading, visit your renewal page here.

  • Unfortunately, if you are on our £4k cover level then it is not possible to downgrade since you are already on our lowest option.

  • If you choose to downgrade on or after your renewal date, you might need to pay the upcoming debit to keep your policy current.
