We can't yet pre-authorise vet treatment that hasn't happened yet

Our Customer Champions can't yet pre-authorise individual claims but we can hopefully give you some peace of mind and clarity. πŸ’™ The main exclusion we have is that we don't cover claims for illnesses that were symptomatic before the policy is taken out or within the first 10 days of a policy.

90% of the claims we can't cover are for illnesses that started too early. If the pet's condition starts after that, it's likely we'll cover it.

🚨 If you're in a life-threatening emergency

  1. Ask your vet to submit a claim here for an initial consultation that has already taken place.

  2. Send us a chat (click the blue chat icon in the bottom-right) informing us that this is an emergency and that you need to know if we'll cover followup treatment ASAP.

  3. We'll prioritise your vet's claim. If we agree to cover it, that means we'll cover ongoing treatment.
